World Challenge
It's a big world out there,
start exploring...
This is the motto of World Challenge UK; using overseas travel to empower and provide life altering forms of learning. They provide students with the opportunity to write their own stories, make their own mistakes, live their own adventures, learn and grow with peers, see the world with open eyes that are focused towards those around them.
Every 2 years Wallington students take an active role in supporting World Challenge projects which have involved teams travelling to many destinations around the world, including: Vietnam, Morocco, Croatia, Siberia, Tanzania, Venezuela, Kyrgystan and Montenegro. The trips involve a wonderful mix of adventure, combined with community work projects, supporting local initiatives.
Next Trip: 27 day trip to Malawi in July 2023
October 2021: Sign up now open for year 10 and 11
We are really pleased to announce that we are recruiting for the next world challenge trip, to take place in July 2023, from our year 10 and 11 students.
Wallington will contact all eligible students to offer them the chance of joining such an amazing opportunity before the Autumn half term 2021.
We will be running some information sessions on the project and a parental information meeting before any formal sign up in November 2021. Although the costs of the challenges can be daunting, Wallington High School will help you with fundraising ideas and opportunities during the build up to your trip.
Student Drop in session: 21st October 2021 in C1 during lunchtime
Parental information evening: 9th November 2021 7pm
Please register your interest in attending the parental information evening via the WHSG World Challenge trip 2023 below
